It costed $2000 for everything. It would’ve costed $1750 without stripes. They took apart the car and got all the dings out. Then they removed everything and painted it. Took them two weeks. I think they did a bad-ass job on it myself. It ran a little on the expensive side….but I think it was well worth it. It comes with a 5 years warranty against fading,cracking, and peeling. Anyone know anywhere I can go to look for a turbo or twin turbo kit for it?
My car was originally “Stealth Red”. My car is now “Viper Red” ….apparently it is a different color altogether. I was skeptical at first but it actually is “Viper Red” now and it looks 10 times better than the original factory paint. It is a “richer” color red….even more eye catching. To change colors it costed an extra $300 because they have to paint under the hood and inside the doors. The stripes costed me $250 but I don’t know how much just the stripes would be. I don’t know if I got a discount for getting the car painted there also. I do have one piece of advice though….don’t go to some little podunk paint shop. I went to the top of the line establishment. I stopped by every few days to see the progress. The did an excellent, thorough job. There is one small problem though. I have had my car back from the shop for about 2 weeks now. I have kept count every time a cop has been on my ass checkin out the car and I made extra sure to follow every traffic law….every law except the front license plate law in Texas….I hate that law and refuse to follow it. oh well. I can definitely say that I get looks from about everyone on the street now. Even an old lady checked out my car. You can never get old ladies to check out your car. I felt special.
